Forms
Introducing custom domains for forms
Forms can now live on your own custom domain or Leat subdomain, giving every form a branded URL while letting you choose the default domain for new forms.
Use your own domain: Forms can now live on a custom domain, such as
forms.yourbrand.com, instead of using a shared host in the URL.Create a Leat subdomain: You can also choose your own Leat subdomain, which is approved instantly and ready to use with your forms.
Choose your default domain: Set any verified domain as your default, and it will automatically be used for all new forms.
Move existing forms: Changing your default doesn't change existing form URLs. If you want to move an existing form to the new default domain, you can switch it from the form's settings.
Your forms are part of the customer experience, and their URLs should feel like part of your brand too.
Custom domains let you keep your branding consistent from the moment someone opens a form, while giving you control over which domain should be used for new and existing forms.
What this means for you
Keep form links on-brand: Use your own domain for a more consistent branded experience.
Set up custom domains easily: Add a custom domain with a single CNAME record and verify it in Leat.
Keep existing links working: Changing your default domain doesn't affect forms you've already created. They'll keep their existing URLs as long as their domain remains in your domains list.
Switch forms when you're ready: Existing forms can be moved to your new default domain individually from their settings.
Where to find it
Head to Settings → Forms → Add domain.
From there, you can create a Leat subdomain or add and verify your own custom domain. Once verified, you can set it as the default for new forms.
Heads up
Removing a verified domain will cause existing form links using that domain to stop working. Leat will show you a warning before the domain is removed.
After verifying a custom domain, it may take up to 10 minutes for Google to issue its SSL certificate. During this time, the domain may show as Verified, but the form might not load until the certificate has been issued.
