Introducing email bounce and spam report tracking
Get a clearer view of which contacts can no longer receive your emails and why, with new bounce and spam report overviews directly in Leat.
Track hard bounces: See email addresses that couldn't receive your messages due to invalid addresses, non-existent domains, or other permanent delivery issues. Each record shows the affected contact and the email that bounced.
View spam reports: Identify contacts who have marked one of your emails as spam.
Automatic updates: Hard bounces and spam reports from newly sent emails are automatically added to their respective lists.
Automatic unsubscribes: When a hard bounce or spam report occurs, Leat automatically unsubscribes the contact from the relevant email's subscription type. Both settings are enabled by default and can be switched off.
Export your data: Download either list as a CSV to review delivery issues or clean up your contacts in another platform.
Previously, hard bounces and spam reports were only visible through SendGrid, meaning contacts whose emails could no longer be delivered could still appear subscribed in Leat.
By bringing this information directly into your dashboard, you can better understand delivery issues and keep your email audiences up to date.
What this means for you
Understand delivery problems: See which addresses are bouncing and identify contacts who have reported your emails as spam.
Keep subscription statuses accurate: Automatically unsubscribe contacts from the relevant subscription type when a hard bounce or spam report occurs.
Reduce manual work: Let Leat collect new delivery issues automatically instead of checking them in a separate platform.
Manage your contact data: Export bounce and spam report lists when you need to review or clean up your records.
Where to find it
Head to Settings → Marketing to view your hard bounce and spam report lists.
From there, you can review affected contacts, export either list as a CSV, and manage the automatic unsubscribe settings.
Heads up
Automatic unsubscribes for hard bounces and spam reports are enabled by default, but you can disable either setting.
When triggered, the unsubscribe applies to the subscription type associated with the email, rather than necessarily unsubscribing the contact from all marketing communications.
The lists automatically collect hard bounces and spam reports from emails sent after this update.
