What's new

  • One-time password authentication: Contacts can now log in to authenticated forms by entering a one-time verification code sent to their email.

  • Works alongside magic links: Existing login buttons continue to work as before. You can choose to include one-time passwords in your authentication emails without changing your current login flow.

  • Easy email customization: Simply add the verification code tag to your authentication email template to enable one-time password login.

Why we built this

While magic links are convenient, some users prefer entering a verification code manually, especially when switching devices or opening emails in a different browser. One-time passwords provide a familiar and reliable sign-in experience while keeping your forms secure.

What this means for you

  • More flexibility for your contacts: Give users another secure way to authenticate when accessing protected forms.

  • No disruption to existing forms: If you don't add the verification code to your email template, nothing changes and your current authentication flow continues to work.

  • Simple to enable: Add the verification code placeholder to your authentication email and contacts will receive a unique code they can use to log in.

Where to find it

Head to CRM → Forms, open your private form, then go to Authentication → One-time passwords to enable the feature.

Heads up

This feature is optional. Existing authentication emails and magic link login continue to work exactly as before. One-time password login is only available for forms where you've added the verification code to the authentication email template.
