More control over system notifications

Choose exactly who gets notified, and when, for key account alerts like pending gift card and fraud risk notifications. Set your recipients and notification schedule exactly how you'd like.

What's new

  • Configurable Recipients: You can now choose exactly who receives specific account notifications, instead of them going to a fixed default.

  • Custom Scheduling: For supported notifications, you can also set which days and what time recipients receive them.

  • Starting With Two Notifications: This is currently available for Pending Gift Card Transaction notifications and Fraud Risk Report notifications, with more notification types planned.

Why we built this

Why we built this

Why we built this

Not everyone on your team needs to see every alert, and the person who should see a fraud flag isn't always the same person who should see a pending gift card notification. Giving you control over recipients (and timing) means the right people are notified, without cluttering everyone else's inbox.

What this means for you

  • You decide who's in the loop for each notification type, rather than relying on a single default recipient.

  • You can tailor delivery timing (e.g. specific days, specific time of day) so notifications land when your team can actually act on them.

  • This is the first step in a broader rollout — more notification types will support configurable recipients over time.

Where to find it

  • Pending Gift Card Notifications: Go to Store → Gift Cards → Settings, toggle on "Send email notifications for pending transactions," then click the settings icon under "Notification settings" to configure recipients, days, and delivery time.

  • Fraud Risk Notifications: First, make sure the feature is enabled in your general settings. Then go to Data → Fraud Risk, and from the Loyalty tab, click the notification icon in the top-right corner to configure recipients and timing.

Heads up

We're planning to extend configurable recipients to other account notifications next. If there's a notification you rely on that you think should be supported, let us know via the live chat!
