Budget guardrails
Set how much an incentive, campaign, customer group, or location may spend, then track committed value as it happens. Leat can alert teams as budgets tighten, stop or flag spending at the limit, and prevent Decisioning from selecting actions the remaining budget cannot support.
Set budgets by incentive, campaign, segment, location, region, program component, or time period. Budgets can be nested, allowing store allowances to sit within a regional or group total and monthly budgets to sit within a quarterly limit. At the end of each period, unused budget can reset, carry forward in full, or roll over up to a chosen limit.
Count vouchers issued, rewards redeemed, and points awarded against the relevant budgets as they happen across every channel. The dashboard shows current committed spend rather than relying on a delayed estimate. Marketing, operations, and finance can compare planned and actual spending by campaign, location, or period using the same figures.
Set alerts at the thresholds that matter to your business, such as 80% and 95%, and decide who should receive them. At the cap, Leat can stop issuing the incentive, pause the campaign, or allow spending to continue while flagging it for review. A trial campaign can have a firm limit while an important ongoing program receives a warning and remains active.
Decisioning and Leat AI consider the available budget before selecting an action. When a budget is exhausted, the affected incentive is removed from consideration. As the remaining amount decreases, lower-cost actions can be preferred, helping automated decisions stay within the amount the business has approved.
Incentive budget planning
Campaigns cannot continue issuing value beyond the amount approved unless the budget is explicitly allowed to exceed its cap.
Location allowances
Give each site or franchisee a budget of its own that operates inside the group cap, and adjust it as trading changes.
Controled experimentation
New incentives and trial campaigns can be tested with firm spending limits before receiving a larger investment.
Core program continuity
Important ongoing benefits can remain active with warnings and review steps instead of stopping unexpectedly at a hard cap.
Period close & rollover
Decide at each period's end whether unspent budget resets, carries forward, or carries a capped portion.
Marketing & finance alignment
Planned and actual incentive spending can be compared using the same current figures across campaigns and locations.
