Contextual personalization
Personalize each action using the customer’s current time, location, channel, basket, and interaction alongside everything already known about them. The same customer can receive a different response at the POS on a weekday than through an app at the weekend because their immediate situation is part of the decision.
Time of day, day of the week, season, and time since the customer’s last visit can all change what is appropriate. Leat can select a lunchtime incentive at midday, encourage visits during quieter hours, or recognize a regular customer returning after an unusually long absence. Time becomes part of each decision without requiring a separate campaign for every possible moment.
Use the current store, region, delivery area, or type of venue as part of the decision. Local stock, events, available rewards, and whether the customer is visiting their usual location can all affect the appropriate action. The POS provides the store context, while an e-commerce experience can use the relevant delivery or service location.
Adapt how an action works according to the touchpoint the customer is using. A POS interaction may require a quick response that staff can explain, while an app can present more detail. A wallet notification needs a concise message, and an order-at-table screen can respond to the menu and party currently in front of the customer. The underlying decision remains connected while its presentation fits the channel.
Use live details such as the basket being built, the reward just redeemed, the order type, the table size, or whether this is the customer’s first or fiftieth visit. These signals combine with the existing customer profile. Someone currently buying from a new category may therefore receive a different response than the same customer during a visit where that category is absent.
Contextual signal selection
Teams can decide which time, location, channel, basket, and order signals each decision may use within Responsible AI Controls.
Daypart strategy
Decisions can respond differently during quiet periods, peak hours, weekdays, and weekends without requiring separate customer profiles.
Location-specific experiences
Rewards, stock information, and local priorities can reflect the store or region involved in the current interaction.
Channel presentation
The same action can be applied automatically at the POS, presented as a choice in an app, or shortened for a wallet notification.
Basket-level personalization
Products, categories, quantities, spending thresholds, and recent redemptions can change which incentive is appropriate.
Contextual performance review
Teams can compare results by time, location, and channel to understand where situational context improves performance.
