Points programs
Award points for spending, visits, product choices, referrals, reviews, and other valuable actions. Define the currency, earning structure, value, and expiry policy while maintaining one current balance across POS, e-commerce, member portals, and wallet passes.
Award points for the behaviors that matter to your business. Spending-based points can reward transaction value, while visit-based earning recognizes frequency. Products and categories can earn different rates, and actions such as completing a profile, referring a friend, or leaving a review can also create value. Multipliers and bonus periods can apply by customer group, location, or time through Governance and Earning Rules.
Points earned at the POS are added to the same balance customers see through an e-commerce checkout, member portal, or wallet pass. Staff and connected customer experiences all read from one customer record rather than keeping separate channel balances. Customers can therefore earn in one place and use their points through another without waiting for disconnected systems to catch up.
Choose what the points are called, what they are worth, and how they convert into rewards or other value. Earning and conversion rates can vary by tier when higher-status customers should receive additional benefits. You can also decide whether points expire, when they expire, and which email reminders customers receive beforehand. Earning can be based on the full basket or the amount remaining after discounts.
Points activity provides context beyond the current balance. A customer who stops earning may be becoming inactive, while someone approaching expiry may need a timely reminder. Redemption patterns can also distinguish customers who use value quickly from those who save it. Balances, earning activity, and expiry can inform segments, automations, and Decisioning, while outstanding points are tracked as a financial liability.
Currency design
Teams can define the name, value, and presentation of points across wallet passes, member portals, receipts, and other customer touchpoints.
Earning structure
Spending, visits, products, categories, and customer actions can contribute to the same balance using rates defined in Earning Rules.
Bonus period scheduling
Double-points events, category bonuses, and quieter-period multipliers can start and end on schedule.
Expiry and reminder policy
Teams can define whether points expire, how long they remain valid, and which email reminders customers receive before expiry.
Liability reporting
Finance can monitor the number and value of outstanding points and how quickly customer balances are redeemed.
Balance adjustments
Staff with the required permission can correct missed or disputed activity, with the reason and responsible user recorded in the Audit Log.
