Vouchers
Issue vouchers that are tied to the customer who holds them, and know what every one of them did. Create single-use or shared codes, deliver them by email or on paper, and let them redeem at the till and in the checkout against the same rules. Because every redemption lands on the customer's record, a voucher teaches you who responded, who didn't, and what they bought.
Percentage off, fixed amount, free item, free delivery, or a product at a set price. Single-use codes tied to one customer, or shared codes with redemption limits for print and social. Conditions on minimum spend, specific products or categories, first purchase, or channel. Validity by date, by time window, by location. Every setting is a rule the platform enforces, and each voucher belongs to a promotion, so its cost and performance are tracked as part of it.
A personal voucher is sent by email, shown in the member portal and the widget, or can be manually administered by staff. Vouchers can be issued by a campaign, by a journey when something happens, or by Decisioning when it judges a voucher is the right action for this customer now. Once issued, a personal voucher sits on the customer's record and is redeemable on whichever channel they use.
A code presented at the till, entered in the checkout, scanned at a kiosk, or shown from a wallet pass is checked in real time against the same conditions and the same customer record. Single-use means once, across every channel. Eligibility, stacking, and frequency rules apply identically. A voucher the customer isn't entitled to is declined with a reason the staff member can read, and one they are entitled to applies without anyone checking a spreadsheet.
Who received it, who opened the email, who redeemed it, where, on what basket, and with what else applied. Unredeemed vouchers approaching expiry can trigger a reminder. Redemption cost is counted against the campaign's budget as it happens. Optimization compares customers who received a voucher with those who didn't, so the question of whether the voucher caused the purchase or only accompanied it has an answer.
Voucher design
Decide the value type, the conditions, and the validity for each new voucher, and attach it to the promotion whose budget it draws on.
Distribution planning
Choose how each voucher reaches customers, by email, in the portal, on receipts and table cards, or issued by staff, and when.
Leakage control
Watch shared codes for redemption volume beyond the intended audience, and switch a code off everywhere the moment it has spread too far.
Expiry reminders
Set when customers holding an unredeemed voucher are reminded by email, and how many times.
Voucher spend and effect reports
Report redemption cost against the promotion's budget, and compare customers who received the voucher with those who didn't, to see what it caused.
